Tom Mahairas
Founder/President
Tom Mahairas- founder and president of CitiVision, has spent over 30 years in New York City as a spiritual activist. His involvement includes church planting, urban education, mercy ministry as well as training and equipping for cross cultural evangelism through the New York Gospel Outreach.
Tom is an evangelist and visionary who has spend this entire adult life with a focus on reaching cities with the powerful and practical gospel of Jesus Christ. God is now taking that gifting and passion and using it globally to replicate Tom’s vision to reach the masses in Africa, India, Europe, South America, and throughout the world.

Tom's History
I was born, Anastasios Mahairas, September 22, 1949, in Thessaloniki,Greece. When I was 8, I immigrated to New York City. It was hard to learn the language and the rules of my new surroundings.
When rock and roll arrived on the scene in the 1950's I was motivated to begin my own band. All I began to care about was making it big and feeling good! Pleasure soon dictated everything I did. During the 60's I embraced the Hippie Lifestyle.
My girlfriend, Vicky, and I considered ourselves "Seekers of the Truth." Any new idea that came along we would try. In desparation to escape the sin and pain of New York City I made my way up to Lake George. I met a young man named Bruce and he invited me to Word of Life Island. There I met Bob and I asked him, "Do you know where Jesus is?" Bob sat on a rock with me and introduced me to Jesus Christ by reading to me John 3:16.
Bowing my head I prayed, "Lord, please forgive me for all my ego, self, and pride. I put all of it down and I ask you, Lord Jesus, to come into my heart and change my life. From now on you can have total control of my life. Just tell me what to do and I'll do it." I knew I had finally found the Truth and the meaning of life!
I called Vicky, (today, she is my wife, and we have 5 beautiful children and 6 grandchildren), and told her I met Jesus and shared with her how she could meet Him. You, too, can experience first hand the transforming power of the Gospel, but you must decide! Would you repent and turn from your sin today and accept God's forgiveness, salvation and love?
