Our History

In August of 1996 Tom Mahairas founded CitiVision to provide a variety of real-life ministry opportunities to the cities of the world. In that same year, God provided CitiVision with a 250-acre parcel of land located in the beautiful Catskill Mountain/Hudson Valley region, just eighty (80) miles north of New York City as a venue to bring the youth and adults out of their urban communities and into God's beautiful creation. In 1997, the Citivision camps had their grand opening.

The facility includes a retreat center that can accommodate over 200 people per week and summer camps that can accommodate 350 youth per week. Since its inception, CitiVision has reached over 15,000 un-churched youth and adults with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. CitiVision also partners with many multi-ethnic churches and groups from a wide socio-economic range, by providing a place where they can be equipped and motivated to be involved in inner-city ministry.
